About Regenerative and Wellness Aesthetics

Regenerative and wellness aesthetics is a specialized set of treatments that can stimulate your body’s internal processes to enhance your appearance. (1) Rather than hide your concerns, our treatments combine regenerative medicine and aesthetics to repair, remodel, and improve your skin by slowing the signs of aging, delivering essential growth factors and nutrients to your tissues, and stimulating the production of collagen.

About Topical Serums and Skin Care Products

Topical serums and skin care products are a collection of different products that can be applied to the surface of your skin. These products are formulated to address specific concerns and to improve the overall health, well-being, and appearance of your skin. At Skin Perfect, we carry the following:

Rejuran and Klardie are two of our most popular products. Rejuran is a skincare collection that uses c-PDRN technology. Polydeoxyribonucleotide (PDRN) is a regenerative ingredient that is naturally found in salmon DNA. When applied to the skin, PDRN can encourage collagen production, increase cellular turnover, address pigmentation concerns, and support the active ingredients of your other skincare products.

Klardie is a medical-grade Korean skincare line that uses cutting-edge technology to refresh and revitalize the health and appearance of your skin. Klardie specifically uses Hyalusome™ within their products. This is a cross-linked hyaluronic acid formula that can provide deeper levels of hydration to your skin, leaving you with a glowing complexion.

About Biostimulators

Biostimulators are injectable treatments that can stimulate the creation of new collagen within your skin. (2) These treatments use the natural components of your tissue to address age-related volume loss, loose or lax skin, as well as visible signs of aging, such as wrinkles, creases, and fine lines. This is because this treatment restores the structure, function, and overall ecosystem of the extracellular matrix (ECM), or the cellular scaffolding found in your skin and tissues. (3) Two of the most popular biostimulators include poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) and calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA).

Poly-L-Lactic Acid:

Poly-L-lactic acid is a synthetic polymer that doctors and other licensed practitioners have used across several different medical specialties in sutures, medical implants, injectables, and more. (2) In aesthetic medicine, your specialist can inject PLLA into your tissues to restore natural-looking volume and induce the new production of collagen in areas such as the:

  • Cheeks
  • Hands
  • Neck
  • Thighs
  • Glutes
  • Chest

If you are interested in refreshing your appearance using PLLA, we offer Sculptra injections at each of our locations.

Calcium Hydroxylapatite

Calcium Hydroxylapatite (CaHA) is a naturally occurring mineral that is in our teeth and bones. In aesthetic medicine, it is common to find CaHA as a type of dermal filler. It consists of hydroxylapatite microparticles in a carrier gel suspension that can replenish lost volume, address moderate signs of facial aging, and stimulate the natural production of collagen. (4)

We offer Radiesse as our primary CaHA treatment. This dermal filler can address smile lines, deep nasolabial folds, and wrinkles found around your mouth to restore a softer, smoother appearance.

About Exosomes

At Skin Perfect, we offer exosome therapy to help you enhance your skin’s overall wellness.

Exosomes are extracellular vesicles that are crucial for intercellular communication and carry different cellular components around the body, such as nucleic acids, proteins, lipids, and metabolites. (5) They have been gaining popularity and interest throughout aesthetic and dermatological medicine due to their unique transportation properties and use as biomarkers. Specialists use them for their potential ability to promote and support wound healing, skin regeneration, and sun damage protection. (6) When a specialist applies exosomes to the skin, they are thought to promote fibroblast activity—these are the cells that create new collagen and elastin.

How are These Treatments Changing the Industry?

With the rise of regenerative and wellness aesthetics, patients have more options than ever. Now, instead of simply treating surface-level conditions, doctors and specialists can address aesthetic and wellness concerns from the inside out. By addressing root-level issues such as lowered collagen levels, tissue decline, and the natural effects of aging, you can restore your personal appearance, body positivity, and well-being with ease and efficiency.

Microneedling

Dermalogica microneedling is a skin rejuvenation treatment that creates controlled punctures on the surface of your skin to stimulate the new production of collagen. This treatment uses a device fashioned with fine needles to penetrate the skin’s surface, and it can address concerns such as:

  • Pigmentation concerns
  • Hair Loss
  • Visible Signs of Aging
  • Facial Scars
  • Melasma
  • Enlarged Pores

Microneedling is safe for all skin types and tones, and your specialist can easily combine it with other wellness aesthetic treatments for deeper rejuvenation.

FAQ

Is there a distinct difference between Sculptra and Radiesse?

While both Sculptra and Radiesse are biostimulators, they are composed of different materials and particle sizes. Sculptra is composed of poly-L-lactic acid, a synthetic polymer that can last for more than two years when injected. On the other hand, Radiesse is composed of calcium hydroxylapatite and can last between 12 and 18 months in the body. Your specialist can help you determine which option is best for you during your personal consultation.

How many treatment sessions will I need?

The number of treatment sessions or injections you receive will vary depending on the treatment your specialist performs. During your consultation, they will discuss this with you so you understand what to expect.

How long will it take to recover from my treatment?

Your recovery timeline will vary depending on the type of treatment you received and the corrections you are addressing. Most patients can return to their daily activities shortly after their appointment, but you may experience temporary side effects as your body adjusts to your treatment regimen.

How will I know if I am a candidate for your regenerative and wellness treatments?

During your personal consultation, your specialist will meet with you individually to converse about your medical history, personal concerns, and aesthetic goals. They will also assess your skin condition and quality, as well as your natural anatomy. Using this information, they will determine whether our treatments are right for you and which one will be the most beneficial.

Can my specialist combine several regenerative and wellness treatments within one appointment?

Yes, your specialist may combine several treatments within one appointment for more comprehensive and effective results. We recommend scheduling a consultation to learn more about the other treatments that may benefit you.
